IRIS is the Immediate Response Information System
IRIS sends uniform emergency, priority and routine messages to thousands in the school community, office buildings, government, as well as parents and the emergency responders serving them within seconds.
Messages originate from a designated staff member using a pre-formatted IRIS alert email announcement into which the user places specifics. If a computer isn’t available - which could be the case during an emergency - the user can dial a toll-free number on any phone or cell phone from a safe location to reach an IRIS message advisor on duty around the clock. This live, emergency-trained advisor - an exclusive IRIS benefit - composes the message and sends it.
Busy signals or no-answers trigger repeat calls until messages go through. Unreachable numbers are logged and reported to the IRIS administrator for contact information update.
Message recipients see and hear IRIS alerts on the communication devices they prefer.
Messages arrive in the language recipients select: English, Spanish, Chinese, French, German, Vietnamese, Japanese, and many more. Please contact us for additional languages supported by IRIS.
IRIS automatically verifies, records and reports receipt of every message.
