Need help sending a message or signing up with an organization currently on IRIS? We can help with any problem you may have. A customer support specialist will help you get the answers you need and your issues resolved.

Who can use IRIS?

Anyone who must contact thousands of people virtually simultaneously. These include:

  • Building Managers
  • School Principals and Administrators
  • Government Officials
  • Utility Companies
Do I need a special computer, network connection or dedicated phone line?

None of these are needed for you to operate IRIS.

What equipment is required?

IRIS messages can start with signing into an administrator account on the Internet or a simple call from any telephone or cell phone.

Do I need special software?

No.

Does IRIS reside on my server?

No.

What are the system requirements for my administrator/user?

You can use any Internet-connected computer or phone.  Your administrator sends messages online or places a call to an IRIS message advisor to send out notifications.

Do message recipients need any special hardware or software?

None. IRIS sends your messages to standard phones, cell phones, Internet-connected PCs, fax machines, wireless PDAs and digital pagers.

How do I register contact information for those on my notification database?

The participant database uses contact information gathered from building occupants, employees, school families and community agencies. Your IRIS Account Executive will manage the upload of your database using standard data formats.

How does IRIS provide data privacy and security?

All personal data and IRIS operations are held under the highest security standard in existence – an encryption level more secure than the technology protocol credit card companies use to protect on-line transactions.

Where does IRIS store my data?

Multiple secure, redundant servers around the country keep your data accessible for changes and message delivery.

How do I make changes to my database and contact information?

Individuals or your administrators can update contact list and address information with password protection either online or telephone.

Is there a risk of losing my database?

IRIS stores your database on redundant servers located around the country. If one goes down, the others are always ready to take over operations and preserve your files.

What if an IRIS server fails?

All data is stored on multiple servers, so data is protected from loss.

What if a connection to the IRIS servers goes down?

IRIS servers are connected by multiple, redundant, high-speed lines in the world’s most secure network. If one or more lines drop or experience a high-traffic situation, the others continue to operate

What does IRIS cost?

IRIS estimates include launch, your database size, frequency of use and volume of changes. System operation updates are done without added cost.
